Berkeley Artist's Studio


After designing a whole house remodel of a Berkeley brown shingle bungalow, Thorn Architects was brought back to rehabilitate and repurpose an existing accessory building as a working studio for an artist and author. The studio is a light-filled, multi-functional space. Retaining the existing footprint, we provided studio space, a workstation, sleeping loft, storage for paintings and supplies and an exterior space for entertaining.
